Alcatel Hero 2+ Cyanogen OS

It’s a major week for the people at Cyanogen Inc. as it goes into an partnership with an new Android smartphone manufacturer.

The Cyanogen group have launched a new device with Alcatel OneTouch. The Hero 2+ is a North American remix on the first Hero 2, which we seen back in September. This new model swaps out the MT8392 processor in its predecessor with the MT6592 octa-core processor having clock speed of 2.0GHz, and that is pretty much where the hardware changes end. The major part of changes is on the additional “+” lie in software side, as Alcatel OneTouch will be transported with new version of the Hero 2 with Cyanogen OS.

Alcatel OneTouch is moving from its own custom version of Android skin, which incorporates no lack of software of its and hardware encounters, for Cyanogen OS 11. The Hero 2 may just be getting update from Android 4.4.2 to Android 4.4.4 with this knock to Hero 2+, yet Alcatel OneTouch is engaging on the Cyanogen privacy and security features and highly customizing platform for the North American release. This 6 inch, 1080p resolution display monster will be the first official Cyanogen OS device getting support a stylus, yet there’s been no statement yet of support for the other Alcatel OneTouch extras accessories, in the same way as the LED flip cover or the e-ink accessory that was sold with the first Hero 2 device.

The Hero 2+ unlocked version will be accessible for $299 on the Alcatel OneTouch Amazon store beginning in Q2 of this current year. Look at the full press release below for more information.
