Famous British red phone boxes are continuously restored to charge smartphones. The new solar-powered hubs are painted green and marked “Solarbox”, however hold a significant part of the same notable design. Gone were the times of wired calls, make proper acquaintance with free public charging.
While the service to charge your smartphones is free, users will be met with commercials showed on a little screen found inside the Solarbox. Large portions of the first red phone boxes are no more being used, making this undertaking an incredible recovery plan.
The boxes are bolted overnight and are maintained up once a day. The Solarbox venture itself is by ambitious people Harold Craston and Kirsty Kenny, who figured out how to pack second place in the Mayor of London’s Low Carbon Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Five more boxes will dispatch right on time next year.
