This tablet is considered to be the successor to high end Galaxy Tab S line up, Samsung’s next official high end tablet launch is expected on month of June. However there is no official announcement on releasing the upcoming tablets, recent rumors and leaks suggest that the Galaxy Tab S2 will be arriving in 8-inch and 9.7-inch variants.
With respect to the specifications, both tablets are anticipated to highlight Super AMOLED display with a 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution in a 4:3 screen aspect ratio like the Nexus 9, 64-bit octa-core Exynos processor, 3GB RAM, least of 32GB internal storage, microSD card support, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n, LTE Category 6 network capability alongside a 8MP primary back camera and a 2.1MP secondary front camera. On the software front the Galaxy Tab S2 will run in Android 5.0 out of the box.
Similar to the Galaxy Tab S lineup, Samsung will announce the Galaxy Tab S2 in Wi-Fi only and 4G LTE models, it would appear that all models will be controlled by Samsung’s own in-house Exynos processor.
