Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore, the company’s Corporate Vice President of its Operating Systems team, published a new post on the Microsoft’s idea for Windows Phone in a competing platform place; his Chinese Weibo account. The message claims Chinese fans that Microsoft has “a single event” it was working to uncover news about Office for Windows Phone ahead of the Chinese New Year, which starts on Feb. 19.
Belfiore discloses that the published post on Weibo has received many comments and letters from Windows Phone fans that have communicated dissatisfaction when they see Microsoft launch applications like Office for iOS and Android platforms “without accompanying news around what will happen on Windows Phone.” Belfiore posted:
“I want to assure you that our Office team has not forgotten Windows Phone – we’re just aligning all of our news and announcements to a single event. You’ll hear much more about what we have planned before Chinese New Year.”
It’s likely Belfiore is indicating the Microsoft’s Windows 10 press occasion, which will be held in Redmond, Washington on January 21.
