However people are at present happy with the presently available CyanogenMod on the OnePlus One, OnePlus is prepared to give its users an option to use its own particular custom ROM called OxygenOS. Publishing on its forum webpage as it regularly does, we get the teaser that this new OxygenOS software will be light, open and available, after the same design thoughts that prompted the formation of the One itself. From the post:
“We’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what this ROM means to us and our fans. We realized that, like everything we do, our true goal is to make the product that we ourselves would want to use—to make great technology more accessible for everyone. With our ROM, that means software that is open, customizable, and free of bloat and unnecessary features.”
That doesn’t provide for us more details what it means, yet we have just a couple of weeks to release on February 12 when we’ll get the remaining details.
