Ubuntu now supports Netflix through Chrome

Ubuntu Netflix

We let you know it is coming, and now it’s here! Canonical announced today that its famous Linux distro Ubuntu now supports Netflix playback through Chrome. In case you’re running a completely updated version of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, 14.04 LTS or later you can just go install Chrome 37 at this moment and instantly begin enjoying Netflix. (In case you’re a paying subscriber, obviously.) There are no other details on if or when support may be coming to other browsers, so sad Firefox fans. That being said, Mozilla is one of the main supporter to Network Security Services, which is key to Netflix support on Linux, so it likely won’t be too far behind.
