Gopal Vittal, CEO of Bharti Airtel, stated during the Q3FY24 Earnings call on Tuesday that “Airtel Black, our unified Plans is seeing strong momentum.” “More than 40 percent, in fact, 47 percent of net ads are now on Airtel Black Plans.” The CEO emphasized that Airtel’s combined offering lowers user rates, increases average revenue per account and allows the firm to provide many services to its clients.

During the quarter, 3.6 lakh new users joined Airtel’s broadband service, which is provided under the brand name Airtel Xstream Fiber. This brings the total number of users to 7.3 million. According to Airtel, it is still expanding at a rapid pace, with its home internet service currently available in 1,267 cities, compared to 1,140 cities the previous year. The CEO of Airtel made the following statement in response: “We added nearly 1.5 million home lines in the same quarter.” Airtel Black, our compatible solution, is gaining significant traction given the momentum we are witnessing in this industry.”

With 16.1 million users at the conclusion of the quarter, Airtel claimed that net additions for its Digital TV witnessed 388K (~388,000), the most in the previous 12 quarters.

Postpaid Segment

In the third quarter that concluded on December 31, 2023, Airtel added 0.9 million net new customers, further solidifying its position in the postpaid market. With this, Airtel claimed to have added 48.3 million postpaid customers, including Internet of Things users. Presently, Airtel has over 397 million total customers, and it has the highest mobile ARPU in the market at Rs 208.
